Saygus VPhone V1 Posted on: November 3, 2009
 I bet you never heard of Saygus. Neither have we, that was until today when a FCC file about a new approved Android phone caught our eyes. It's the Saygus VPhone (V1).
In general when a manufacturer you never heard of comes with a new phone it's usually a piece of ... old technology, with shady quality and either insanely cheap or over expensive. And no large carier adopts that phone. But that's not the case with the Saygus VPhone.
As you see in the above picture the design is above average but there is alot more under the hood of this Android Phone. On Saygus website you can see the specs sheet and alot of these are excelent:
- 800x480 3.5 inch capacitive touchscreen;
- 624 MHz Marvell processor (PXA 310);
- 512 ROM / 256 RAM;
- 5 MP AF camera with flash;
- Front facing camera for video calling;
- GPS;
- accelerometer;
- compass;
- FM radio;
- USB;
- MicroSD up to 32GB;
- WiFi;
- Bluetooth;
- 1500 mAh battery.
And that's not all, it looks like it is heading to Verizon either this holiday season or Q1 next year. That's not sure yet, but considering it was just approved by FCC, it works on CDMA network and Saygus has alot of Verizon news on their website we can guess it's highly probable.
If you want to see the actual look of the device here are some real pictures from FCC's documentation:
