HTC Magic Review Posted on: March 4, 2009
Finally some hands on informations of the newly released HTC Magic (should hit Vodafone in April, see link for details), again comming from the well connected guys at mobile-review.com, who were lucky enough to get a black HTC Magic for two days.
When it comes to the exterior of the phone, the Magic looks neat and well built, or as they say: "simple yet stylish device". It seems to be more fingerprint rezistant than other shiny phones, even in the black version. The curvy design allows the phone to sit confortably in the hand, despite it's size, being a little larger than the average smartphone.
When it comes to the controlss, the buttons of the device are not those that will be used in the final version of the phone, when it will be released by Vodafone. However they are easy to operate even when holding the android phone with only one hand. The trackball requiers some getting use to it but in time might prove to be a convenient way to navigate Android OS.
The touchscreen is the same 320x480, 3.2 inch as the G1. It has good viewing angles and nice colors. Can be compared as quality to it's HTC brothers like the Diamond but is far from the high rezolution screen of the Touch HD. The sensitivity is good and the phone reacts well to the touch.
